INSTITUTION OF ENGINEERS (INDIA)

The Institution of Engineers (India) is the largest multidisciplinary professional body of professional and academic engineers, working since 1920 and committed for advancement of science, technology and engineering and also gives engineers a global platform for sharing professional interest. IEI encompasses 15 engineering disciplines and having 125 Centres in the Country and 6 Overseas Chapters. Tripura State Centre of The Institution of Engineers (India) was started functioning in the State as an Adhoc Local Centre in 1989 and was recognized as Agartala Local Centre in the year 1991. Subsequently in 2008, it was upgraded to State Centre. Many National and International Seminars / Conventions / Workshops/ Lecture Programmes and various technical activities have been organized so far in the State by the IEI, Tripura State Centre.
